County Manager Finalists' Event

Meet the two finalists for Larimer County Manager, Linda Hoffmann and Lorenda Volker. Linda is currently Larimer County's Planning and Building Services Division Director. Lorenda now holds the position of Human Resources Director for the County.

• Rabies Concerns in Larimer County

  Rabies has been confirmed in several skunks close to Fort Collins, near the foothills and east in the Country Club area. Take precautions against rabies by having your pets and livestock vaccinated and following simple steps to prevent exposure to rabies.

• Proposed Amendments to the Land Use Code

  Amendments to the Larimer County Land Use Code regarding neighborhood meeting requirements and processes will be heard before the Larimer County Planning Commission on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 6:30 pm in the 1st Floor Hearing Room.

• Reduction of Larimer County Sales Tax

  The Larimer County Board of County Commissioners voted to end the portion County sales tax which was used for construction of the county courthouse and other capital projects. With the change, effective July 1, 2012, the Larimer County Sales Tax will be reduced from 0.8% to 0.6%. For purchases prior to July 1st, County sales tax should continue to be collected and remitted at the 0.8% rate. For purchases on or after July 1st, County sales tax should be to be collected and remitted at the new 0.6% rate.
